WILD EARTH HERBS FOUNDER
Bec is a radical herbalist, eco/bio- logist, activist, farmer, and mother living on Thaua Country, Yuin Nation, NSW, Australia. She runs an off-grid permaculture farm and works from her hand-built apothecary, where she grows and creates high-quality herbal medicines — a passion she has nurtured for over two decades. Bec also runs a Community Supported Herbalism (CSH) box, now in its seventh year, offering seasonal, handcrafted plant medicines to her community.
Plants have been our allies for centuries. In a world where knowledge is often confined to books and theory, Bec stands as an active, earth-centered herbal practitioner rooted in lived experience. Through deep connection with the land and her green allies, she focuses her work on women’s health—inviting womyn to reclaim their innate wisdom and rediscover the healing power of nature.
Bec’s background in botany and gardening has taken her across five continents in pursuit of herbal connection. With over twenty years of experience in the art and science of plant healing, she has had the privilege of learning from both plants and renowned herbalists including Chanchal Cabrera, Rosemary Gladstar, Aviva Romm, and Paul Bergner. She has also studied with Wild Seed School of Herbal Studies (where she honed her medicine-making skills), and taken classes with Della Rice Sylvester (Cowichan Elder) and Ryan Drum.
Continuing her lifelong journey of learning, Bec studies with Wiradjuri Elder MinMia, deepening her connection to her Indigenous roots. She has completed two years of study in Shamanic Herbalism with Heidi Wedd and is currently geeking out in a yearlong phytochemistry course with Lisa Ganora.
A permaculturist, farmer, medicine maker, and community herbalist, Bec is deeply grounded in earth-based spirituality. She is a Sundancer, Reiki Master, birth doula, and Jap Sen Master (nerve-touch massage), as well as a devoted lover of mud, dogs, animals, food, ocean, and mountains. Her background as an forest and ocean activist, conservation biologist and bush regenerator reflects her lifelong commitment to caring for the earth and all its living systems. She is the founder of the Wise Women Conference (2017) and Rad Herb Australia (2018), initiatives dedicated to building community, sharing knowledge, and nurturing connection through the wisdom of plants.
